My new awesome pursuit: Painting. My sister had been talking about painting and it intrigued me.  I decided, practically on a whim, to go buy a beginner set of acrylics a couple weeks ago. I don't think I've ever touched an artists paint brush in my life (except as a small child, haha). I have to say, I enjoy this so, so much. I've only done about 5 or 6 little paintings and a couple of those are really just color blending to see how the paints mix and how different brushes work. And I don't have a lot of time to devote to it because I'm so busy, maybe just a few evenings a week. But I'm actually a little proud of how I've taken to it. So an

I'm experimenting with this display space. I just uploaded a mix of media photos that I have taken or that have been taken with me in them. My favorites or the graveyards. All of which were taken as part of my Samhain observance that year. Many of the Self Portraits and emotive displays are digitally retouched and editted for effect. Comments and critques are always welcome.

So I uploaded a whole bunch of poetry that I wrote a couple years back. The time period is generally University and post grad era for me. The poems from: A Child in Bosnia to Childhood Adventures are works that I actually wrote for a poetry class and are therefore probably a bit more technically sound. Everything else spans an effort at writing decently to ranting madly. Love, lust, to lunacy some of it makes little to no sense at all, some should simply inspire emotion, others vivid images.
